Get to know a bit about us before calling for your free consultation, when we can learn more about you and help design a treatment plan to return you to a pain-free, active life.
Dr. Plesa lives in Matthews, North Carolina with his wife and five children. His family enjoys the outdoors, playing at the park with the children and some weekend fun at Carowinds.
Dr. Plesa's Specialized Education and Training
He earned his Bachelor's of Science in biology and his Doctor of Chiropractic at Life University College of Chiropractic, in Marietta, Georgia. Dr. Plesa continues his education with focused coursework related to his specialty, both attending and leading workshops and symposiums on upper cervical spine care. He has accumulated hundreds of hours in post-graduate studies in upper cervical (neck) care and spinal-related injuries.
Dr. Plesa is the founder and developer of Knee Chest Specific Chiropractic Certification Seminars, a post-graduate level course, where he trains chiropractors in the specialty of upper cervical (neck) care and how it affects total body wellness.
He's a Team Player
Dr. Plesa loves the great outdoors and traveling with his family. One of their favorite outdoor spots is in Hendersonville, North Carolina, where his family can be found enjoying nature and apple picking at the orchards.
Growing up, he enjoyed playing soccer and training in martial arts. His soccer team won numerous county-level championships and three state-level championships. As a martial artist, he earned his black belt in American Tae Kwon Do, where he remained the undefeated champion in one-on-one sparring from 1996 to 1998 in Atlanta, GA. Tae Kwon Do was such an important part of his self-development that he has his children training to earn their black belt.
"Chiropractic care maintained my body so that I could compete with and be among the best in soccer and Tae Kwon Do," says Dr. Plesa about his active lifestyle.
His Commitment To Mentorship and Outreach
Dr. Plesa is dedicated to giving back and paying it forward. Each year, he and other chiropractors join to provide chiropractic care to areas of the world where it is not readily available to those less fortunate. His team checks and adjusts hundreds of people, all at no-charge. Dr. Plesa has adjusted people all over the world, from Eastern European countries to Central American countries.
Here in the United States, he mentors up-and-coming upper cervical spine chiropractors and those who want to model their practices after his philosophy of treating the whole patient.
Our Mission and Philosophy at Charlotte Family Chiropractic Clinic
Dr. Plesa's experience as a member of championship sports teams, discipline-oriented martial arts, and of course his 15 years in practice at leading North Carolina's chiropractic clinics sets the tone here at Charlotte Family Chiropractic Clinic. Through communication, patient education, and a "no B.S." policy, our staff empowers you to make informed decisions about their care in a compassionate, supportive environment.
Our state-of-the-art diagnostic technology helps eliminate the guesswork from identifying conditions often overlooked by other practitioners, but Dr. Plesa insists that no million-dollar machine can match solid listening skills. And as skilled as he is in isolating the cause of symptoms, he knows he's no match for our clinic's post-adjustment health restoration suite - or, "my quiet place of rest", as most patients call it.
Chiropractic care shouldn't be scary, and new patients are pleasantly surprised to find that Dr. Plesa's approach is minimally-invasive, and our atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Our regular clients go so far as to say that their visits to Charlotte Family Chiropractic Clinic are perhaps the only time they can schedule time to unwind the stress of each day.
Dr. Plesa has something to say about that. "You can't heal from physical trauma without respecting your body and brain's need for downtime. My clients come from all backgrounds and lead busy lives, which is why we do what we can to provide the best environment for a successful recovery."
At Charlotte Family Chiropractic Clinic, we are not only concerned about your symptoms, but also you as a person and what is important to you. We know that not everyone's the same and not everyone has the same goals. It is important to us that we present a chiropractic care plan that works for you and is tailored to you and your health concerns.
Our Charlotte Chiropractor specialties are headaches, migraines, neck and back pain, vertigo, scoliosis, bulging discs and whiplash injury. Our patients visit our Charlotte office from all over North Carolina, including, Matthews, Indian Trail, Mint Hill, Harrisburg, Gastonia and Concord.
